FTV Capital secures $4B for growth funds
FTV Capital, the growth equity firm investing in enterprise technology, financial and payment technology sectors, announced the successful closing of two new funds totaling over $4b. The firm closed its eighth flagship fund, FTV VIII, at $3.4bn, thereby surpassing its fund raising target and hugely outstripping the achievement of the previous fund that was raised to $2.35bn in March 2022. Besides, FTV established FTV Ascend I, the latter attracted $650 million that would go to firms that required minimal equity involvement.
This kind of fundraiser comes at a time when the market for IPOs is shrinking and brilliant high-growth companies have to begin to consider other funding methods. This is especially because FTV Capital’s investment capacity has built enough muscle to help nurture these firms to the next level of growth and expansion.
For the last seven years FTV Capital has been engaged in venture capital business and since its creation in 1998 the company has raised $10.2 billion while company invested over $4.8 billion with 137 portfolio companiesand company earned $6.3 billion.
The business remains to use its sector-driven model and vast network to identify and provide support to innovative businesses in the sectors it covers.
