Reliance Jamnagar refinery celebrates 25 years
Reliance Industries Limited, the largest refined oil platform identified the Jamnagar refinery in Gujarat as it accomplished 25 years of its operations. Originally ordered on the 14th of July 1999 as a 668000 BPD refinery it has grown to an incredible 1.24 million BPD. This accomplishment has placed Jamnagar on the world map as a centre for refinery and has enabled India to change its fate from a country that was seriously deficient in fuels to one that can produce adequate energy.
The Jamnagar Refinery has played a pivotal role in meeting India’s energy supply and boosting of its economy in the years.Refineries, petrochemicals and industries related to it and other ancillary establishments are housed in this modern and sophisticated facility of the company to work as a model practice of energy for the entire world.
It has also steadily positioned itself to deliver on the constantly rising demand for energy and petrochemicals all over the world.
For holding of the events some Bollywood stars such as Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Saif Ali Khan graced the occasion, thus making celebrations more colorful as part of the 25th-anniversary celebrations of the refinery complex. It only took the last quarter of a century, but Reliance has posted a proud world class example in India with the Jamnagar Refinery.
