Medusa Beverages seeks ₹120 crore
The company manufacturing Medusa beer plan to invest ₹120 crore in fiscal year 2026 for development of new beer plant in Punjab having an annual production capacity of 4 lakh hectoliters out of which ₹30 crore will be raised through debt and ₹90 crore through equity. In view of the growing beer market in the country, it intends to trip its volumes by FY26 and foray into new states like Assam, Andra Pradesh & Haryana, of launching the premium brands.
Launched back in 2017, Medusa Beverages has been recording stellar sales growth following the company’s FY24 Gross Sales of ₹133 crore with current year estimates of ₹180 crore. In order to meet this demand the business has also signed contracts with breweries of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand.
While focusing on the superior quality beer drinkers in tier 1 cities, Medusa plans first co branded Warner Bros beer “House of the Dragon to India in the mid of December 2024.
However, people in India drink only two liters of beer per capita annually; still, the market holds the potential growth with a compound annual growth rate of 10%-12% until 2030.
