Gulf Oil, Piaggio extend lubricant partnership
Through the 2030 fiscal year, Gulf Oil will product and distribute lubricants in partnership with Piaggio India through their joint brand. Since its launch in 2015 it has grown to engage with both traditional and electric cars or EV cars to show how powerful the automobile company is in its innovation towards sustainability. This long term agreement is strategic with the company’s objectives of satisfying the emerging needs of the commercial vehicle sector in India.
The association brings new EV fluids targeted for the growing electric mobility segment and operates on complex high-quality BS-VI compliant oils designed to conform to strict enviornment standards. The deal supports the Indian government’s push for a cleaner transport system by providing for a shift in Piaggio cars portfolio that it requires.
Gulf Oil and Piaggio have expressed their willingness to solve the problem of transition to sustainable mobility as well as increasing lifespan, and performance of vehicles in a new development of partnership. Customers will access the premium lubricants as MCD directly sources them through selected partners for fixing Piaggio automobiles.
This renewal reaffirms both the leadership of Gulf Oil and Piaggio in the sector and the commitment of two companies with such similar values of innovation and reliability. It also highlights their involvement in the growth of the lubricant and electric vehicle markets in India and the disclosure of new potentials in automobility.
