Tessolve, Hero Electronix unit, acquires German chip firm
Tessolve, a subsidiary of Hero Electronix, announced its intention to acquire Dream Chip Technologies, a German semiconductor design firm, for up to ₹400 crore (approximately €42.5 million). This strategic acquisition aims to enhance Tessolve’s capabilities in System on Chip (SoC) designs, particularly in sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), automotive, data centers, and industrial markets. The deal is expected to expand Tessolve’s European operations by adding four delivery locations across Germany and the Netherlands, including a specialized ADAS and imaging center of excellence lab.
Srini Chinamilli, Co-founder and CEO of Tessolve, stated that this acquisition solidifies their position as a top-tier semiconductor engineering firm globally, with unmatched design-to-productization capabilities. Jens Benndorf, CEO of Dream Chip Technologies, expressed excitement about joining forces with Tessolve to offer end-to-end solutions from chip architecture to post-silicon test and supply chain management for complex designs.
This acquisition aligns with Tessolve’s strategy to strengthen its position in the semiconductor industry by integrating advanced design capabilities and expanding its global footprint.
