Infosys to invest ₹17 crore in Bengaluru space tech startup GalaxEye
Infosys has announced an investment of up to ₹17 crore in GalaxEye Space Solutions, a Bengaluru-based space tech startup incorporated in IIT Madras. The investment made through the Infosys Innovation Fund will see the IT giant hold a minority stake of not more than 20% in the Galaxy Eye. This funding aims to support GalaxEye’s ambitious program of state-of-the-art multisensor imaging satellites.
GalaxEye’s unique approach combines data from multiple sensors to provide a complete, high-resolution, all-atmosphere satellite image. These innovations have tremendous potential for application in a variety of industries including agriculture, defence, disaster management, logistics and infrastructure management The company’s technological goal is to enhance Earth monitoring through data that comes from integrating from multiple sensors to make changes to how critical areas use satellite-based methods.
